In the lead up to Christmas, Kirill Gerstein performs in concerto engagements with the Leipzig Gewandhaus (3, 4 and 6 November), Detroit Symphony (17-19 November), Brno Philharmonic (23-24 November), Lucerne Symphony (7-8 December) and Armenian Philharmonic (16 December) Orchestras. Repertoire includes Tchaikovsky’s 1st Piano Concerto (1879 version), Busoni’s Piano Concerto and Strauss’ Burlesque in D minor for Piano and Orchestra.

Also in the diary are two concerts curated by Kirill on 1 and 3 December as part of the Mozarteum Salzburg’s Dialogues Festival featuring music by Mozart, Busoni and Rihm, and collaborations with Ferenc Rados, Guy Braunstein, Baldur Bronnimann and the Basel Sinfonietta. Just over a week later, Kirill travels to Paris to give a recital of Debussy, Lutoslawski, Ravel and Stravinksy with Thomas Ades at the Fondation Louis Vuitton on 12 December.
