Kirill Gerstein splits his time between recitals and concerto engagements over the next two months, opening May with recitals in Kansas and Fresno on 5 and 7 May, followed by Seattle and Washington on 16 and 21 May.  Playing music by Bach, Brahms and Liszt, Kirill concludes his US tour of these composers on 11 June in Chicago. Chamber music also forms part of Gerstein’s schedule in June when he plays Schumann and Brahms with Leonidas Kavakos, Albrecht Mayer and others on 13 June at the Berliner Philharmonie.

Concerto engagements over May and June see Kirill travel to San Diego for Bartok’s Third Piano Concerto from 12-13 May with the San Diego Symphony under Matthias Pintscher; Paris for Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini on 1 June with the Orchestre National de France under David Robertson; Dresden for Brahms’ First Piano Concerto from 16-18 June with the Dresden Philharmonic under Michael Sanderling; and Bad Kissingen for Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor on 21 June with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony under Andrés Oroczco-Estrada.
